Meet Emma Winter, an OPEN Health Scientific Trailblazer

Emma Winter’s infectious enthusiasm for science fuels her relentless drive to explore, analyze, and interpret scientific information. She channels her passion into crafting clear, concise, and tailored communications for payers, providers, and patients, ensuring that the scientific insights in the communications resonate.
After earning her degree in pharmacology, Emma worked for several years in a large pharma company and subsequently in a clinical research organization. At both institutions, her work largely concerned collaborating cross-functionally in the discovery and measurement of predictive and prognostic clinical biomarkers for multiple therapeutic areas. A decade ago, she transitioned to the field of medical communications, where she has gained diverse expertise across numerous products from the pre-clinical to the post-marketing stage. With over 22 years’ experience working within and as a partner to pharma companies, Emma now serves as a Medical & Scientific Services Divisional Lead at OPEN Health Scientific Communications.
Emma is especially passionate about the many advances being made across the oncology treatment landscape and has enjoyed working on oncology medical communications for a variety of indications and patient populations. She is a regular attendee of international oncology congresses, including ESMO, sharing key congress highlights with her teams and pharma partners to help them keep up to date with the latest advancements in the field.

Emma’s blend of scientific expertise acquired from both pharma and agency roles gives her a distinctive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in both settings and positions her as a Scientific Trailblazer at OPEN Health.
